Who we are

Industrifonden is Sweden’s venture capital fund. Established in 1979 by the Swedish government as an independent foundation, our mission is to fuel innovation and growth across Swedish industry. For over four decades, we’ve backed high-tech ventures in deep tech, life science, and transformative tech, partnering with visionary entrepreneurs to scale breakthrough innovations globally.

We invest primarily in Sweden, and the Nordics, with an evergreen structure that allows us to focus on long-term value creation. Our investments typically begin at the seed and A-round stages, with initial investment tickets ranging from SEK 10–50 million, often followed by continued support.

Industrifonden was founded by the Swedish government in 1979 as an independent foundation to provide Swedish industry with an innovation growth engine. For more than forty years, we have partnered with high-tech ventures.

Today, we are an independent venture capital fund continuing our legacy by partnering with innovators and entrepreneurs to bring Nordic breakthrough innovations to the world. We invest in early-stage companies, from seed to A-round funding, and sometimes earlier. Our first ticket is often 10-50 million SEK, with the capacity to invest considerably more during the lifecycle.
